Post

Having recently had another birthday, I found I had some money that didn't need to be spent on bills or wine so I bought Killing Girl, Sparrow 10 and Walking Dead 9. Here's the parcel they arrived in.

Hiya. What are you using for those colours? They're very vivid. Excellent blog by the way! You're a tremendous artist.

Frank Espinosa's stuff is awesome. Is the story any good?

The other artist is pretty good, too. Name escapes me. And I've linked to his work before, too. Oh dear. Nurse!

Story is based on an utterly spurious premise, but if you can live with it, it's like ELEKTRA ASSASSIN: the TV movie.

Actually those Killing Girl pics have given me an idea for my next Who illo. Watch out for DWM 408!

Can't say I've seen ELEKTRA ASSASSIN: the TV movie, Mark. What a sheltered life I've led.

Thanks Reds, glad to hear you like it. The colours are Posterman (chalkboard?) pens that i hadn't really got to trying out and so have been used up by the nippers. (Red pen in the cut out wrestlers pics below)

Both Espinosa and Toby Cypress art in Killing Girl is flipping great, 2 highly individual styles. The book has nods a-plenty to Electra in art and story. And I reckon would make a better film than the Electra one I saw on telly the other day.

DWM 408? i'll keep 'em peeled.

I've confused Rob, sorry (don't drink and post, kids) - what I meant was, if you were going to try and make ELEKTRA ASSASSIN into a TV show, it'd probably be pretty much like KILLING GIRL. The Elektra movie from a couple of years ago is just unmitigated sh*te. And wholly dissimilar from ELEKTRA ASSASSIN or KILLING GIRL.
